Velvet by Avon opens with a burst of tart pomegranate, sweet fig, and ripe raspberry. This fruit forward introduction quickly gives way to a plush heart of Bulgarian rose, powdery heliotrope, and soft lily. As the fragrance settles on skin, a darker base emerges, built on earthy patchouli, warm saffron, and clean musk. Launched in 2018 and created by perfumer Gabriela Chelariu, it sits in the fruity floral chypre family. The composition balances thick fruitiness with woody depth, making it particularly suitable for cool autumn evenings and winter days.
