Winter of '99 by Kerosene opens with a heavy punch of freshly grated nutmeg and dark molasses. Created by perfumer John Pegg in 2019, this scent captures the mood of a frozen Detroit blizzard with a heavy fireside sweetness. The opening feels loud and sharp, cutting through freezing air with raw spice and charred wood syrup. As the initial spice settles, smoldering vanilla and dry woodsy notes take over on skin. The sweetness turns thick and sticky, resembling brown sugar simmering over woodsmoke.
