Or Noir opens with a piercing burst of aldehydes, crisp bergamot, and tart cassis that feels sharp and cool against the skin. Within twenty minutes, the bright top notes give way to a heavy, waxy floral heart dominated by narcissus, May rose, and gardenia. Indolic jasmine adds depth, while iris provides a soft powdery edge. As the hours pass, the dry-down settles into a classic chypre base of bitter oakmoss, earthy patchouli, and warm clove, softened slightly by dark vanilla and musk. It smells green, mossy, and unapologetically vintage, carrying the weight of 1980s French perfumery without modern sugar. Show less
