VIII Eight reads as a warm amber woody scent with a spicy, herbal opening and a darker, resinous core. Saffron, cardamom, lavender and citrus brighten the top before tobacco, oud, leather and vanilla settle in. It looks best suited to someone who enjoys textured, slightly old-school orientals with a dry woody base rather than a sugary gourmand finish. Show less

Mediterraneum by Proteo Profumi surprises anyone expecting a breezy coastal aquatic. Released in 1993, this composition leans into a rich, amber-laced fougere style that feels grounded, warm, and distinctly retro. The opening bursts with fizzy aldehydes, sharp bergamot, and sweet mandarin orange, cutting through the air before settling into a heart of fresh lavender, geranium, and spicy cinnamon. As the hours tick on, resinous benzoin, earthy oakmoss, and dry sandalwood emerge to create a cozy, lingering base. It is a fantastic choice for crisp autumn mornings, relaxed weekend outings, and evening gatherings where you want approachable, classic character without aggressive sharpness. Show less
